  78. ===== Installation =====================================

  80. The installation procedure for ArithmeTick-Tack-Toe is quite simple.
  81. The package includes a program, "INSTALL.EXE", which automates the
  82. entire process.  You will need about 1.5MB of available disk space
  83. on the hard drive on which you plan to install ArithmeTick-Tack-Toe.

  85. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  86. ArithmeTick-Tack-Toe.

  89. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  90.  
  91. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  92.  
  93.    o  Place distribution diskette "Disk 1" in the
  94.       appropriate diskette drive.
  95.  
  96.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program on the distribution diskette
  97.       from within the Windows Program Manager.
  98.       For example, if the distribution diskette is on drive A:, type
  99.       "a:install" into the Program Manager's File|Run command.
  100.  
  101.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  102.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  103.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  104.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  105.       the product files to that directory.  If you received this product
  106.       on two diskettes, you will need to insert Disk 2 in the diskette
  107.       drive when asked to do so.  If you so direct it, the installation
  108.       program will install executable programs and documentation in
  109.       other directories of your choice.  It will make no other changes;
  110.       specifically, it will not modify your autoexec.bat or config.sys
  111.       files.

  114. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE

  116. If you downloaded ArithmeTick-Tack-Toe from a BBS (or received it in the
  117. form of archive files from some other source), you will need to perform
  118. the following steps.

  120.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  121.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  122.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  123.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  124.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  125.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  126.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  127.       the package.

  129.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For
  130.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  131.       the package is C:\TEMPDIR, you would execute the command,
  132.       "c:\tempdir\install" from within the Windows Program Manager's
